IHG signs dual-branded hotel in Cascais with Grupo Onyria, expanding its luxury and lifestyle presence in Portugal with new Kimpton and Vignette Collection properties.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a dual-branded 309-room hotel in Cascais, Portugal, partnering with Grupo Onyria.

The project will bring Onyria Marinha Cascais, Vignette Collection and Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais to the scenic Quinta da Marinha area, with openings planned between this year and next.

These two additions mark a significant expansion of IHG’s luxury and lifestyle portfolio in Portugal, now comprising six open hotels and eight in the pipeline, including Kimpton Lisbon, Kimpton Atlântico Algarve, and Six Senses Comporta.

The new properties will be just 30 minutes from Lisbon Airport and close to beaches, shops, and restaurants, all set within the tranquil Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

The 111-room Onyria Marinha Cascais will feature two restaurants, a bar, ten event spaces, pools, a tennis and padel club, a wellness spa, and outdoor activity options.

Meanwhile, the 198-room Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Cascais will include ten suites, three restaurants, two bars, family-friendly amenities like a kids’ club and golf course, as well as 12 meeting rooms and a lake house venue for events.

This marks the Kimpton brand’s debut in Cascais, adding to its growing European footprint. The Vignette Collection hotel joins IHG’s first collection brand, designed to preserve the character of unique properties while offering the scale and support of IHG.

Both hotels reflect Grupo Onyria’s decades-long expertise in luxury tourism and align with IHG’s mission to deliver memorable, culturally rooted guest experiences.
