Marriott International has announced the first U.S. location of City Express by Marriott in Duluth, Georgia, set to open in March 2025.
This marks Marriott’s official entry into the affordable midscale segment in the U.S. and Canada, offering stylish, hassle-free stays for business and leisure travelers.
The 83-room hotel, located 30 minutes from downtown Atlanta, will provide plush beds, high-speed internet, complimentary breakfast, 24-hour markets, pet-friendly policies, and on-site fitness facilities.

Designed for easy conversion, City Express by Marriott aims to attract both guests and hotel owners with its efficient model.
Marriott plans an aggressive expansion, with over 45 signed agreements, including City Express locations in New Orleans, Chicago, Orlando, and Canada opening in 2025.
“The brand’s success in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) makes this a natural next step,” said Noah Silverman, Global Development Officer.
City Express by Marriott will participate in Marriott Bonvoy, allowing members to earn and redeem points across Marriott’s portfolio. With further expansions planned for Argentina, Brazil, and beyond, Marriott continues strengthening its affordable midscale presence worldwide.
