IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its footprint in Texas with the debut of Hotel Indigo Irving – Las Colinas, the company’s 13th property to open in the state this year.
Located just northwest of Dallas, along the scenic Mandalay Canal, the boutique hotel offers a distinct blend of Western heritage and Mediterranean-inspired elegance, reflective of the unique character of the Las Colinas neighborhood.
Design Rooted in Local Charm
The 150-room property pays homage to Las Colinas’ history, inspired by Texas rancher Ben Carpenter’s vision of combining old-European charm with Texan heritage. Guests are welcomed by a ceramic mockingbird installation, a nod to the Texas state bird, and design details such as hand-woven tiles, lasso-inspired lighting, and interiors evoking the colors of dried grasslands, wildflowers, and rusted steel.
In guestrooms, woven headboards and hand-knotted rugs reflect Carpenter’s travels, creating a warm, curated ambiance.
Culinary and Lifestyle Offerings
The hotel’s full-service restaurant, KLEO, serves modern Mediterranean cuisine for breakfast and dinner, adding a global touch to the experience. Guests can also explore over 150 international dining options nearby.
Amenities include:
- Outdoor pool and pool garden with a bar overlooking the canal
- Fitness center
- 5,400 square feet of meeting and event space
A Cultural Hub in Las Colinas
Las Colinas is known for its vibrant cultural scene, especially during its festival season. Guests can enjoy events like Canal Fest, celebrating global cultures, and the DFW Dragon Boat Festival, featuring thrilling races and traditional performances.
Carol Hoeller, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing for Hotel Indigo, described the hotel as a blend of the novel and familiar, offering travelers a unique escape that connects them to the local culture.
