Strategically located at the entrance of IWD and near the Haramain High-Speed Railway station, the hotels will serve as key gateways to Madinah, enhancing religious and cultural tourism in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. The district is part of the transformative Knowledge Economic City project, which aims to position Madinah as a global hospitality hub for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
IHG’s Haitham Mattar expressed excitement over the expansion, stating, “We are honored to support the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 by enhancing Madinah’s cultural and hospitality offerings.” KEC Chairman Amin Shaker and CEO Mohammad Al Mubarak emphasized the project’s alignment with delivering exceptional guest experiences and advancing local hospitality standards.
Both hotels will feature IHG’s hallmark services, with the Holiday Inn & Suites offering an open lobby lounge and all-day dining, while the Holiday Inn Express focuses on accessible, value-driven accommodations. Guests will also enjoy benefits through the IHG One Rewards program.
