Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Headspace have unveiled The Science Behind Sleep, a video series offering practical, science-backed tips to help travelers improve their sleep quality.

Filmed at Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, the series features five episodes led by Headspace’s Dora Kamau and sleep expert Dr. Aric Prather. Topics include managing jet lag, creating a travel bedtime routine, making smarter food and drink choices, dealing with nighttime wake-ups, and harnessing morning sunlight to reset internal body clocks.
A recent survey by Hyatt found that 75% of travelers prioritize sleep quality, highlighting the need for solutions like this collaboration. TJ Abrams, Hyatt’s VP of Global Wellbeing, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences with tools that address physical and mental well-being.
This initiative builds on Hyatt and Headspace’s partnership, which began in 2019, to integrate mindfulness and relaxation content into the World of Hyatt loyalty program. Guests can access the new series on in-room TVs or through Hyatt’s YouTube channel, expanding Hyatt’s holistic approach to wellness.
