Marriott International has celebrated the opening of its 500th property in the Caribbean and Latin America (CALA) with the launch of Almare, a Luxury Collection Resort, Isla Mujeres, an adults-only all-inclusive retreat.
Located on the serene shores of Isla Mujeres, Mexico, Almare represents Marriott’s first luxury all-inclusive resort in Mexico and the fourth Luxury Collection property in the country, further solidifying Marriott’s expansion into high-demand destinations.

Brian King, President of CALA for Marriott International, highlighted the significance of this milestone, emphasizing Marriott’s commitment to meeting the needs of discerning travelers across the Caribbean and Latin America.
Marriott’s CALA portfolio has grown substantially, adding 200 properties over the past three years and bringing luxury options to the forefront of its regional offerings, which now include 62 high-end properties across brands like The Ritz-Carlton, St. Regis, and JW Marriott.
Almare offers a refined experience with 109 ocean-view suites, each featuring private balconies and high-end amenities. Guests can enjoy an extensive culinary journey through seven unique dining venues and bars, as well as unwind at the Alma spa or by the infinity pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea.
Marriott’s commitment to the all-inclusive segment has rapidly grown since 2019, with Almare marking its 35th all-inclusive property.
Future openings include Paraiso de la Bonita in Mexico in early 2025 and W Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic by mid-2025. Almare is now available for booking on Marriott.com and participates in Marriott Bonvoy®, allowing members to earn and redeem points across Marriott’s expansive brand portfolio.
