The festivities will begin with a traditional Opening Ceremony led by Kumu Kamaka Kukona on Friday, October 25. The weekend culminates with the “Sounds of the Sea” concert on Sunday, October 27, featuring performances by Lawakua and The Voice finalist Kamalei Kawa’a, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.

Throughout the festival, guests can enjoy a range of cultural experiences, including hula performances from five of Maui’s top hālau (hula schools) during Saturday’s “Hula is the Heartbeat” event, with live mele (music) by Keauhou.

A highlight of the festival is the debut of Hawaii’s first female falsetto competition, the Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Ha‘iha‘i Falsetto Contest, on October 25. Visitors can also explore the Live Aloha Market, featuring 17 local vendors, as well as pop-ups from MANAOLA Hawaii, and take part in cultural demonstrations, a guided tour of the Cultural Garden, and daily presentations by Hawaiian practitioners.

On October 26, attendees can experience Moʻokiha O Pi’ilani, Lahaina’s voyaging canoe, with the opportunity to paddle or ride along and learn about this historic wa’a (canoe). The full schedule of events is available online, and complimentary off-site parking with shuttle service will be offered throughout the weekend.

The Festivals of Aloha, part of the resort’s broader cultural programming, continues to reflect Four Seasons Maui’s commitment to mindful luxury travel. Through immersive activities like Hawaiian Star Stories, Coral Reefs 101, and Botanical Block Printing, the resort invites guests to explore Maui’s rich cultural heritage in meaningful ways.

As a prominent Hawaiian cultural showcase, Festivals of Aloha highlights the enduring traditions of Maui and its surrounding islands, connecting visitors with the deep history and wisdom of the islands’ kupuna (elders).
