IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of a new Vignette Collection property, Ciel, set to become the world’s tallest all-hotel tower when it opens in Dubai next year.
The 80-plus floor hotel, located in Dubai Marina, will be managed by The First Group and promises a luxurious lifestyle experience with stunning views of Palm Jumeirah, the Arabian Gulf, and the Dubai skyline.
Ciel will feature 1,000 rooms and suites, three restaurants, Dubai’s highest infinity pool, a fitness center, spa, and club lounge. Guests will also enjoy an observation bar and lounge offering uninterrupted panoramic views.
Positioned as an architectural masterpiece, the tower has already garnered multiple awards, including recognition for Best International Hotel Architecture.
Haitham Mattar, IHG’s Managing Director for India, the Middle East, and Africa, praised the partnership with The First Group, noting the landmark deal as a testament to IHG’s growing luxury portfolio in the region.
Launched in 2021, IHG’s Vignette Collection now spans over 2,300 rooms across eleven properties. The brand allows independent hotels like Ciel to retain their unique identity while leveraging IHG’s global scale and expertise.
The First Group’s CEO, Rob Burns, emphasized that Ciel, the company’s largest project to date, will redefine upscale hospitality in Dubai and attract international travelers through IHG’s extensive network and IHG One Rewards program.
IHG currently operates 117 hotels in the Middle East, with another 83 in the pipeline across brands like InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, and Six Senses.
