Hyatt announces plans to open Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives in 2027, featuring 130 luxury villas, world-class dining, and easy access to diving, surfing, and pristine beaches.

Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE: H) has announced plans to open the Hyatt Regency Samarafushi Maldives in late 2027.

The all-villa resort, located in the scenic North Male Atoll, marks the Hyatt Regency brand’s debut in the Maldives. The property will join the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa and Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, expanding Hyatt’s presence in the region.

Developed in partnership with SingHaiyi, the resort will feature 130 luxurious beachfront, treetop, and overwater villas, each with a private pool.

Its design, crafted by Park + Associates, blends traditional Maldivian architecture with a modern, natural aesthetic. Guests can enjoy multiple dining options, including a beach club, a Japanese specialty restaurant, and a sunset bar.

David Udell, group president for Asia Pacific at Hyatt, expressed excitement about the collaboration with SingHaiyi, emphasizing the opportunity for travelers to explore the beauty of the Maldives, known for its pristine beaches and world-class diving spots.

Conveniently located just 25 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport in Malé, the resort will also provide easy access to famous surfing locations like Pasta Point.

Amenities will include a marine and diving center, a fitness pavilion, a yoga deck, and a spa. Guests can also enjoy exclusive services at the Regency Club lounge and family-friendly facilities like a dedicated kid’s club.

The project underscores Hyatt’s ongoing global expansion, with Hyatt Regency Samarafushi poised to become a premier destination for luxury travelers seeking both adventure and relaxation.
