Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, part of IHG Hotels & Resorts, has announced plans to open Kimpton Rockefeller Center, a boutique luxury hotel in New York City, set for late 2025. This will be the brand’s third location in the city, developed in partnership with Extell Development Company.
Located near Rockefeller Center, the 33-story hotel will feature 529 rooms with skyline views, two restaurants, a rooftop bar, a lobby lounge, and meeting spaces.
Designed by SLCE Architects and INC Architecture & Design, it will also offer a fitness center and pet-friendly amenities, signature to Kimpton’s brand.

Leanne Harwood, SVP of IHG, highlighted the hotel’s prime location and boutique luxury setting as key to enhancing guests’ access to the city’s attractions.
Positioned between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, it will provide easy access to landmarks like Radio City Music Hall, Central Park, and premier shopping areas.
Elysa Goldman, SVP at Extell, expressed excitement for the collaboration, aiming to deliver a standout hotel with stunning views and top-tier hospitality in one of NYC’s most visited areas.
Kimpton Rockefeller Center will join other Kimpton properties in NYC, contributing to the brand’s global expansion, which includes upcoming openings in destinations like Lisbon, Riyadh, and Brisbane.
