Hilton has unveiled plans to open its first hotels in Guyana, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across the Caribbean and Latin America. The new properties,

Hilton Georgetown and DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown, will be part of an oceanfront, mixed-use complex in the capital, Georgetown. Owned by Assets Group and managed by Hilton, the hotels will collectively offer 411 rooms.

Hilton Announces Dual-Branded Hotel Project in Guyana.

Located at the meeting point of the Demerara River and the Atlantic Ocean, the 11-story Hilton Georgetown will feature 253 guest rooms and suites, an outdoor pool, and a signature restaurant.

The DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Georgetown will offer 158 contemporary suites and the brand’s signature warm chocolate chip cookie at check-in. Guests will also have access to shared amenities, including a member-only Social Club and a state-of-the-art conference center.

Hilton’s entry into Guyana is part of its broader strategy to expand in the Caribbean and Latin America region, where it already operates over 225 hotels. The company plans to open more properties in the region, including in Bermuda and Paraguay in 2024.
