Following a sweeping transformation of its lobby-level public spaces and restaurant, Four Seasons Hotel Boston has unveiled a stunning encore: the extensively redesigned Royal Suite. Spanning 2,590 square feet (241 square meters), this sanctuary reimagines the classic Boston brownstone with a fresh, modern aesthetic that blends elegance with comfort.
Perched on the sixth floor, the Royal Suite offers a prime vantage point overlooking Boston’s historic Public Garden. Expansive windows throughout the living spaces provide breathtaking views of the park, Beacon Hill, and the city skyline, ensuring that guests feel a deep connection to the city’s iconic landscapes.
Michael Pedder, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Boston, describes the inspiration behind the new Royal Suite as drawn from the exquisite townhomes of the Back Bay neighborhood. “The look and feel are residential, with spaces designed for both relaxation and entertaining. It’s the details that truly set this suite apart, from the abundance of creature comforts to the thoughtful touches that make a guest feel truly at home. We look forward to welcoming guests to the new Royal Suite.”
Designed by Boston’s Niemitz Design Group, Inc., the Royal Suite is characterized by bold colors, classic architectural details, contemporary furnishings, and a grand residential scale. At the heart of the suite lies the Great Room, a 729-square-foot (68 square meter) space anchored by an oversized U-shaped sectional and a sleek marble fireplace. Floor-to-ceiling windows, French doors, and a step-out view allow natural light to flood the room, immersing guests in a panoramic garden atmosphere.
The Great Room is designed with versatility in mind, perfect for a cozy family game night or a chic cocktail gathering of up to 25 guests. A four-seat marble bar, stocked with premium spirits including a martini setup featuring Coterie gin crafted exclusively for the Hotel by Short Path Distillery in nearby Everett, Massachusetts, adds a sophisticated touch. The bar, along with all refreshments in the suite, is complimentary for guests. Behind the bar, custom millwork painted in the suite’s signature blue houses an artful collection of books and decorative objects.
The suite’s airy dining room, which seats up to 12 guests, is ideal for private celebrations or family dinners. The space features grasscloth walls, blue-painted moldings, a gold-veined ceiling, and dramatic pendant lamps that enhance the glittering nighttime views, creating an unforgettable dining experience.
For movie enthusiasts, the Royal Suite offers a private Cinema Room, complete with deep velvet banquettes and leather lounge chairs arranged theater-style. A custom-designed multi-room Bang & Olufsen sound system and Apple TV provide the ultimate setting for movie nights. Guests can enjoy complimentary popcorn and theater treats, reminiscent of the Vaults, the Hotel’s famed snack pantries located on each guest room floor.
When it’s time to rest, the Royal Suite’s bedroom is a retreat within a retreat. The custom-made Wyoming King bed, measuring seven feet by seven feet (2.1 by 2.1 meters), is dressed in signature Four Seasons linens and positioned to offer guests stunning nighttime and morning views of the Public Garden. The suite’s private quarters are completed by a lavish marble bathroom and a generously scaled dressing room with a vanity.
Guests can also enjoy leisurely mornings or satisfy late-night cravings with the suite’s pantry kitchen, stocked with beverages and indulgences from a local confectioner. Morning coffee drinks, made to order from Sottovento, the Hotel’s gourmet coffee bar, are just a phone call or app click away, and always complimentary. For outdoor lounging or dining, Royal Suite guests have access to the Sanctuary, a sun-drenched garden courtyard exclusive to Four Seasons Hotel Boston guests, which offers all-day in-room dining.
The redesigned Royal Suite at Four Seasons Hotel Boston is more than just a place to stay—it’s a luxurious, immersive experience that encapsulates the essence of Boston while offering unparalleled comfort and elegance.
