Hilton has opened its 20th hotel in Brazil with the debut of Yoo2 Rio de Janeiro, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Located in the vibrant Botafogo neighborhood, this new addition marks Tapestry’s first property in Rio de Janeiro. Managed by ICH/Intercity Hotéis, the 135-room hotel offers stunning views of Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer.
Anabel Gruber, general manager of Yoo2 Rio de Janeiro, expressed excitement about the hotel’s unique design and Hilton’s renowned service. “Our ideal location is perfect for both business travelers seeking proximity to downtown and leisure guests looking to be close to the most iconic touristic spots in the city,” she said.

Designed by YOO Design Studio, the hotel reflects Rio’s lively personality with colorful murals by artist Marcelo Ment, stylish decorated tiled floors, and palm-print ceilings. The guest rooms and suites provide breathtaking views of Corcovado, Sugar Loaf Mountain, and Botafogo Beach.
The hotel offers a rooftop pool terrace with secluded cabanas, The Rooftop bar with a creative selection of cocktails, and the Cariocally Restaurant and Bar, which serves international and local dishes in a cozy, tropical-inspired setting. Additional amenities include a state-of-the-art gym, a spa, bike rentals, and four meeting rooms.
Jenna Hackett, senior vice president of Hilton Lifestyle Brands, highlighted the unique experiences Yoo2 offers. “With spirited rooftop dining, design reflecting the city’s larger than life personality and original experiences like an on-property art tour, live Bossa Nova, and mixology classes, Yoo2’s unique story comes to life and offers travelers a new way to connect with Rio’s rich history and culture,” she stated.
Conveniently situated near downtown Rio, Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon, and the south zone beaches, the hotel is seven kilometers from Santos Dumont Airport and 20 kilometers from Galeao International Airport.
