Luxury Group by Marriott International has announced a unique collaboration with urban air mobility platform Blade, offering guests exclusive helicopter transfers between New York City airports and select luxury hotels. This initiative, running from July 1 to September 2, 2024, aims to elevate summer travel experiences by providing seamless, high-flying connections to some of Manhattan’s most prestigious accommodations.
Guests staying two nights or more in select suites at The St. Regis New York, JW Marriott Essex House New York, W New York – Union Square, The New York EDITION, The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, and The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown will enjoy complimentary roundtrip helicopter transfers. This service offers quick five-minute flights from John F. Kennedy International Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport to central Manhattan, drastically reducing commute times and enhancing convenience.
George Hammer, Global Head of Luxury Marketing at Marriott International, emphasized the collaboration’s focus on innovation and exceptional service. He highlighted the partnership as a means to streamline and enrich the guest experience during the busy summer travel season.
Upon landing at Blade Lounge East or the newly renovated Blade Lounge West, guests will be chauffeured in luxury cars to their hotels. This end-to-end service ensures a luxurious journey from start to finish, perfect for discerning travelers.
All guests staying at participating hotels will also have access to exclusive rates for Blade Airport and Blade Ground Connect car transfers. This offer allows visitors to bypass city traffic, maximizing their time in New York City.
The collaboration will also feature seasonal pop-up activations at Blade lounges, showcasing multi-sensory experiences inspired by the distinct brands within the Luxury Group. These activations include signature scents from EDITION, curated playlists from W Hotels, and a live JW Garden at Blade Lounge West. Guests can explore the Luxury Group’s portfolio of over 500 properties worldwide through in-lounge travel guides.
From July 2 to July 5, and every Thursday and Friday thereafter, Blade Lounge West will host a summer-long residency with seasonal menus inspired by iconic hotels such as EDITION, The Luxury Collection, St. Regis, The Ritz-Carlton, and W Hotels. Guests can enjoy refreshments with ingredients from JW Marriott’s JW Garden and explore a luxury steamer trunk featuring gifts from various hotel brands.
