Marriott International, Inc. has announced plans to open a second Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Saudi Arabia, located in Trojena, a year-round mountain destination in the northwest region. This property promises a luxurious escape, combining bespoke experiences with the natural beauty of the desert and mountain landscape.
Designed for discerning travelers, Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties are known for their exclusive locations and highly personalized service.
The Trojena resort will feature 60 expansive one-to-four-bedroom villas, along with amenities such as a lavish spa, swimming pools, and multiple dining venues, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Saudi Arabian mountains and desert.

Chadi Hauch, Regional Vice President, Lodging Development, Middle East, Marriott International, highlighted the unique offering of Ritz-Carlton Reserve properties, emphasizing the intimate and transformative experiences they provide. “Together with NEOM, we look forward to bringing this ultra-luxury experience to Trojena,” he stated.
Philip Gullett, Executive Director and Trojena Region Head, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that the resort will capture the essence of Saudi Arabia’s magic and luxury. Chris Newman, Executive Director of NEOM Hotel Division, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the project’s exclusivity and significance.
Trojena, part of the NEOM development, is set to be a premier adventure sports destination, offering skiing, water sports, hiking, and mountain biking. The area will also feature apartments, chalets, retail and dining options, entertainment, and other hospitality facilities, including a W Hotel and a JW Marriott Hotel.
The new Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Trojena will join an elite collection of only six other properties worldwide, situated in Thailand, Indonesia, Puerto Rico, and Mexico. This latest signing marks the seventh collaboration between Marriott International and NEOM.
