Four Seasons Residence Club Aviara has completed a sweeping USD 22-million renovation, refreshing its entire coastal retreat just north of San Diego with a new look rooted in California’s beachside charm.
The transformation spans all 246 villas, along with the clubhouse, fitness center, and pool area, modernizing the exclusive villa and residence rental property with a fresh, organic design aesthetic inspired by the region’s coastal landscapes.
Led by Wimberly Interiors of WATG—the original designers from the club’s 1998 debut—the updated interiors feature earthy textures and tones, with creamy neutrals, sun-washed silvers, oceanic blues, and terracotta accents.

Inside each villa, new furnishings, lighting, flooring, cabinetry, and appliances reflect high-end finishes designed to feel like a breezy, contemporary beach house. Private balconies encourage guests to dine or lounge outdoors, blending indoor comfort with California’s laid-back lifestyle.
According to Vice President and General Manager Demi Ortega, the revamp elevates Aviara’s status among luxury rentals in San Diego, offering guests the ease and comfort of home paired with signature Four Seasons hospitality.
Accommodation options range from studio-style guest rooms to spacious one- and two-bedroom villas that sleep up to eight—making them ideal for families or groups. Many guests book several villas together to enjoy both privacy and community.
Beyond the villas, the clubhouse has also undergone a bold redesign, featuring updated furnishings throughout, while the fitness center now includes top-tier equipment, revamped locker rooms, and added dry saunas. The poolside bar has been redesigned with expanded seating for relaxing under the sun.
Tucked into the scenic coastal foothills of Carlsbad, the Residence Club offers panoramic views and a full-service resort experience. Guests enjoy two swimming pools, on-site dining at Seasons Restaurant, spa treatments at Driftwood Spa, and a kids’ club.
The dedicated Four Seasons Concierge team handles everything from pre-stocking villas to organizing local adventures like surfing lessons, golfing, or excursions into San Diego, Del Mar, and La Jolla.
