Hilton is set to introduce its Hampton by Hilton brand to Thailand with the upcoming opening of Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town, reinforcing the company’s growing focus on the midscale hospitality segment in Southeast Asia.
Slated to open in late 2026, the hotel will be situated just steps from Phuket Old Town, offering travelers a central location close to cultural landmarks, dining hotspots, and the island’s key transport links, including Rassada Pier and Phuket International Airport.
This strategic debut marks Hilton’s first Hampton-branded hotel in the region and is part of its broader ambition to triple its mid-market footprint in Southeast Asia.

The launch builds on Hilton’s momentum in the area, following recent signings of Hilton Garden Inn properties in the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. With 30 operating hotels in Thailand and 11 more on the way, Hilton currently holds its largest Southeast Asian portfolio in the country.
Featuring 112 guest rooms starting at 21 square meters, the hotel will offer modern amenities including an outdoor pool and fitness center, aligning with Hampton’s global reputation for reliable service, clean design, and signature perks like complimentary hot breakfast and the brand’s 100% Hampton Guarantee™.
Executives from Hilton emphasized that the expansion reflects the brand’s responsiveness to evolving travel patterns, with a surge in intra-regional tourism driving demand for quality yet affordable stays.
Alexandra Murray, Hilton’s regional head for Southeast Asia, highlighted this move as a major milestone in reaching a broader travel demographic. Maria Ariizumi, Hilton’s VP of Development for the region, also noted that the signing demonstrates investor confidence in Hilton’s brand power and commercial strategy.
According to ETG Phuket CEO Khun Phetcharat Manasomjit, the hotel aims to meet rising demand from travelers who seek mid-range accommodation without compromising on service or experience.
Hampton by Hilton Phuket Town will join the Hilton Honors program, giving guests access to exclusive member benefits and flexible payment options across Hilton’s 8,600+ properties globally.
